The fourth industrial revolution is disrupting and impacting all aspects of our lives and work.

Furthermore, it will undeniably continue transforming and disrupting all aspects of what we do. To

successfully disrupt the present circumstances, innovation should improve efficiencies and lower costs

while remaining safe, removing risks, removing failures, and becoming increasingly sustainable. So

what does that mean for the energy sector? This panel will discuss critical technologies forming part of

IR 4.0, including robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, the industrial internet of things,

cloud storage, big data, and analytics. The panelists will share the innovations molding our sector to

understand where the industry is headed. We will also discuss the skill sets personnel and companies

should develop as the workforce requirements transform. And finally, we will discuss the near future

and how we see 2030 and beyond.

The “The impact of emerging technologies on the industry’s carbon footprint reduction” panel will

cover a broad spectrum of solutions contributing to emissions reduction commitment. The panelists

will share their experience and thoughts on sustainability journey, technology advancements and

strategies addressing challenges on the way to Net Zero.

The panel will also focus on how Oil & Gas Industry is adapting towards acceleration of the

environmental sustainability progress. The role of leadership in the carbon reduction initiatives from

the operator’s perspective, academia and the service sector will be discussed as well. The panelists

will also offer their views on the strategies to achieve consistency with the global/international

approaches while tailoring them to the KSA circumstances.
